ANNUAL MEETING DATES ADJUSTED – Newsletter Topic 4

We formed a committee to examine our Bylaws and make recommendations for changes. The committee collected recommendations from all the directors and officers based on their past experiences with operating under the old Bylaws and made adjustments to clarify areas that were unclear, to help us operate more efficiently, and to move certain provisions to standing rules rather than the more rigid Bylaws. The revised Bylaws were adopted by the board at the July 2023 meeting.

The biggest noticeable outcome to these changes in our regulating documents is that it supports flexibility in our recruiting process for Directors and Officers. In the past we were Bylaw-mandated to hold our annual meeting in November. Now, we will hold our annual meeting in September where we will elect Directors. This will be followed by an organizational meeting in October where we will elect officers, decide leadership for the various committees, and approve the budget for the following year.
